Tom and Anna Goodberlet started Goodberlet Heating and Air in October 1982, and since then they have become known for quality customer care, prompt service, and friendly and knowledgeable employees. Maybe that’s why the number of their loyal, satisfied customers keeps growing!
When Tom and Anna first started Goodberlet Heating and Air in 1982, they were armed with a small customer list from Tom’s grandfather, who had ran and operated Coy Heating from 1950 to 1979. They built on the relationships of their parents, friends and family, and built Goodberlet Heating from the ground up while raising their three children. As the business slowly grew, Tom and Anna invested back into their home-grown community by sponsoring youth sports teams and participating and aiding local organizations. Concentrating on slow steady growth by offering quality service and installation with a strong focus on personal attention to the customer, Goodberlet’s mission statement was simple: “always do the right thing.”
In 1996, Goodberlet Heating and Air moved to a new location on Kennedy Drive in Bradley and introduced Planned Maintenance Agreements a few years later, in 1999. Goodberlet Heating & Air remained at that location for eight years, but found their current location at 255 E. Brookmont in Kankakee when the company continued growing.
Currently, there are 6 “official” Goodberlets working at the company, though the whole team is part of the family. To this day, Goodberlet Heating and Air provides the best customer service to their customers, whom they treat like family. If you need air conditioning or heating help, “call the Good Guys!”
