Ductless Heating

Are you interested in a ductless heating solution, but unsure of the ability of a heat pump to keep you warm in the winter? A valid concern! Most heat pumps begin losing the battle at the freezing point. If you live in the Midwest, a heat pump typically will not fit the bill, even on a normal split system. The solution? Mitsubishi H2i technology.

Mitsubishi H2i® Innovation

With a Mitsubishi ductless heating system using H2i, you can stay warm even when the temperature drops to -12° Farenheit! The cooling and heating success of Mitsubishi Electric's INVERTER heat pump systems is well documented, and their Hyper-Heating Inverter (H2i) technology advances the process a step further with the added benefit of year-round comfort with a single system even on the coldest days of the year in most areas.

The wall-mounted, ceiling-suspended and ceiling-cassette indoor units connected to the H2i P-Series outdoor units are flexible enough to satisfy almost any light commercial or institutional renovation or new construction project. What wasn't possible in the past without ductwork, is now attainable due to the commitment of manufacturers like Mitsubishi. Read more about their systems below:

Cool, Quiet Comfort

Cool, Quiet Comfort

Ductless heating isn't the only option you have with Mitsubishi products. You can also opt for cooling only if you have another heat source. These cooling systems can have efficiency ratings all of the way up to 26 SEER! As of 2013, that exceeds the SEER rating on all normal sized air conditioning units from all manufacturers. The Energy Star 2013 top A/C unit was only 24 SEER, and leading manufacturers like Carrier® corporation currently peak at 21 SEER. Read more about ductless air conditioning systems!
Many Indoor Options

Many Indoor Options

As a home or business owner considering a ductless heating solution, you have many options for the indoor air handlers. The indoor unit contains the coil and fan motor. When the heat pump heats refrigerant, it pumps the heated refrigerant to the indoor unit. Air is drawn from the room, filtered, heated and returned. You can install ceiling recessed, floor and wall mounted units to cover a variety of cosmetic and functional requirements. Talk to your local HVAC contractor to find out what is available for your specific needs.

Ductless Twinning

Ductless Twinning

Maybe you love the idea of this type of indoor comfort control, but you have a large space to keep comfortable. Maybe a long room, hallway or office area? No problem! Mitsubishi offers what is called Twinning which allows you to power more than one indoor unit off a single outdoor condenser. The second unit installed at the far end of the room has a separate control, and a secondary refrigerant line runs to it. With these two, ultra-quiet indoor units with individual controls, you can maintain ideal comfort in any space!
Geothermal Heat Pumps

Geothermal Heat Pumps

Another highly efficient way to stay comfortable in your home or office is a geothermal heat pump. Although most of these currently require the traditional ducting found in normal split systems, we still wanted to mention them here. Click the link below and read a little bit about this method that has been called the greenest way to heat and cool your home. It taps into the constant, renewable energy located directly underneath your lawn!
